An Eventful Evening...

I took the boys, Figaro & Enzo, for their annual check-ups today! We got two clean bills of health. Enz had a reaction last year to his vaccinations, so Dr. Calhoun gave him an antihistamine beforehand and thought it would be wise to only give him the rabies portion during today's visit. I kept a close eye on him all afternoon and he was great. I had just sat down to feed Chloe her dinner, when Enzy walked up. His nose was big, puffy, and swollen. His sweet little eyes had big rings around them and were all puffy. He looked like he had been in a fight... I wish that I could have taken a quick picture of him before & after...but unfortunately I didn't have time. My neighbors Courtney & Wade thankfully were home and watched Chloe until Tom was able to get home... The vet was open until 7pm, so I made it there right before they closed. Enzo got a steroid injection and is doing much better now. He's under the covers...on my lap. Content. Happy to be snuggling with his mama. Warm. Safe. Cozy.
