The Way to a Man's Heart

Have you ever heard the expression that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach? I am a pretty big believer in the phrase...and I've definitely found it to be true. You probably won't ever find this recipe in Bon Appetite, Gourmet, or even Southern Living. Maybe, just maybe you'd see it on Paula Deen. It doesn't contain sour cream, butter, or mayonnaise...so she probably won't make it either, ha! My friends know I'm a huge fan of The Dinner Station. I made a Cheeseburger Pasta dish last month and thought I'd try to improvise and make it myself at home. Cheeseburger Pasta 2lbs of Lean Ground Beef (93/7 or leaner) 2 Packets of dry Onion Soup Mix 2 Cans-Cheddar Cheese Campbell's Soup (or 1-Nacho Cheese & 1-Cheddar Cheese) 1 can of tomato paste 5 cups water 1 lb penne pasta Brown ground meat over medium high heat. Drain grease, unless you use very lean ground meat. Add both packets of onion soup mix & stir well. Add tomato paste, canned soup, and 5 cups of water. Bring contents to a boil. Add pasta and cook 7-10 minutes at high heat until pasta is cooked, stirring occasionally. *Perfect for a cold day and a very hungry man...* I am going to be very popular girl tonight. Hubby might not even care that I have to dash out the door to a Junior League meeting. I know...I have been a slacker blog mom again and have quite a bit to catch up on. I do have a good excuse though...we've had some technical issues and since I haven't been able to access our shared drive, I haven't download pictures. Will have some updated blogs and pictures later in the week...promise!
