Saturday was a busy day! I had fun getting out early for a cookie exchange at Lori's (my Junior League friend). I just knew that it was going to be fun...so I made sure to take my camera so I'd be sure to take some great pics. For some odd reason...I knew it would be a great morning. How did I know it would be so much fun you might ask? Um, the invite clearly said mimosas...and that is the best possible way I can think of to start off any Saturday. The brunch/cookie exchange was so much fun...I forgot to take a single picture. My camera never even ventured out of the depths of my purse! So...no pics, unfortunately. Brunch was a combo of Breadwinners and a vanilla granola blackberry yogurt parfait trifle that Lori concocted. It was delicious. The cookies everyone brought were delicious...and I know this because I've already sampled way too many of them!
Afterwards, I met up with my hubby and baby girl and headed to Ella's first birthday party. Ella's Mama, Sherry, was my Provisional Advisor my first year in League. Little Ella is such a sweet and special little girl--and is so spirited! My favorite part of the party was watching Ella go crazy with her balloons. She had the best time pulling on the strings and making them bounce up and down. They were bopping around like crazy and it reminded me of a firework grand finale! It was a hoot! I also enjoyed catching up with my friend Ashley (also from JL) and her sweet little guy Tyler. He's a doll...and seems more like a toddler than an 11 1/2 month old.

o.k. and having fun with her new friend, Tyler.
