The Nap that Never Happened

Today was my Mother's Day Out, or as I like to call it my day off. I am sure you can tell from the pics that this is why I love it. I am so ready to see my little peanut afterwards! Just having a few hours to myself has helped me enjoy the time I spend with her so much more. I think it is totally healthy and I'm so thankful to Summer for helping me get her into the program while I was on bed rest. It was my backup plan (aka Plan B), just in case I decided to stay home. I am so happy that Tom was so supportive of it...and so happy I decided to do it. So today...I enjoyed some much needed me-time today while Chloe was at school. Afterward I picked her up we came home for a warm bottle and a nap. But something was a little off. The nap wasn't really happening...there was a lot of chattering going on...and she was just babbling away and having fun in her crib. As I was getting dinner together, Emily called and asked if Chloe and I wanted to join her and Cole at the park. How excited was Chloe when I asked her if she wanted to forget about taking her faux nap and go on the swing at the park? Um...pretty excited. She started waving her arm and thumping her legs in excitement in her crib. It was too funny! It was such a gorgeous day and I enjoyed watching her smile in the swing and laugh as I pushed her. There are some memories that you just won't forget...and this little girl brings me so much joy. Tom and I are so blessed.
